01 / THE PROFILE

Two goals.
One direction.

Engineering and swimming both reward curiosity, consistency and the willingness to work through a challenge. Those are the qualities I hope to bring to university in 2027.

03 / IN THE CLASSROOM

Building toward engineering.

My academic focus is on math and science, and I plan to study engineering at university. I bring the same preparation and persistence to school that I bring to training.

HANDS-ON LEARNING

Learning by doing.

I bought an older used car with my own money and took on several repairs myself: replacing both CV axles, changing the engine oil and transmission fluid, and swapping the tires. When a rusted fastener held up one axle replacement, I researched solutions and tried different tools and lubricants until I could remove it. Working through challenges like that is part of what draws me to engineering.

04 / BEYOND THE CLOCK

Showing up for
the team.

Leadership is part of my experience in the pool, on deck and at school.

01

Club captain

As a Hollyburn Swim Team captain, I help lead warm-ups and support relay planning and teammates at meets.

02

School swim coach

This school year, I coach the school swim team, helping swimmers develop their skills and confidence.

03

Recognized by the team

Named Hollyburn Swim Team Captain of the Year in 2026 and Top Male Performer in four consecutive years, from 2023 to 2026.

PART-TIME WORK

Team Aquatic Supplies

Alongside school and training, I work part-time as a Swim Retail Associate at Team Aquatic Supplies, helping customers, especially competitive swimmers, choose the right swimwear and gear.

SPORTS & INTERESTS

Beyond the pool

Before focusing on swimming, I competed in ski racing with Grouse Mountain Tyee through my second U14 year, earning podium finishes at zone races, ski cross races and Nancy Greene Festivals during my U8–U12 years. I also sailed with Hollyburn Sailing Club, played baseball with the North Shore Baseball Association, and danced with North Shore Academy of Dancing. These days, I enjoy hiking and backpacking with friends, as well as indoor bouldering.
